Military Members Favor Obama 6 to 1 over McCain
It’s no secret Senator Obama is good at raising money for his presidential campaign, but the latest figures show a staggering amount of monetary support from U.S. Military troops serving abroad. As a matter of fact, the ratio for campaign donations is 6 to 1 in favor of Obama over McCain. The two presidential hopefuls couldn’t be further apart on their approach to the War in Iraq. While Senator McCain maintains that he will not withdraw troops until conditions on the ground are favorable, Obama has promised combat troops will depart the region in 16 months. Maybe McCain’s camp is right and all the Republican supporters are too busy defending our country to send his campaign money… sure, that’s it. Well, the McCain camp might not be getting the hint - but from where I’m sitting - I’m reading you Loud and Clear.
Gates Says No to U.S. Military Action Against Russia
It’s been on the news, Russia has invaded Georgia, and the reasons why are not all clear yet. As a result, folks have been worried that the United States Military might be called upon to confront Russia on tiny Georgia’s behalf. Well, no need to fear Defense Secretary Gates is here! With a name fitting to the title he holds, Gates has effectively shut the “gates” on the possibility of a U.S. military conflict with Russia. It’s just not going to happen. That’s not to say there won’t be retribution for Russia’s actions against the small state of Georgia, it’s just that this time it won’t be our brave troops dishing out the punishment.
